Winford Allen Stanfill, born on April 30, 1950, in Paragould, AR, peacefully passed away on March 1, 2024, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Known for his hard work and dedication, Winford was the owner and operator of Winford Stanfill Trucking, leaving a lasting impact on those who crossed his path.
Never meeting a stranger, Winford built many loyal friendships and lasting business relationships over the years while driving his dump truck. He worked tirelessly for his family, but when he wasn't working, Winford loved to deer hunt and cheer on the Arkansas Razorbacks. He was also a long time softball coach in Paragould. Winford's most cherished times were spent making memories with his family, especially his precious grandchildren.
Described as a loving father, cherished grandfather, and beloved brother, Winford will be deeply missed by his surviving relatives: daughters, Wendy (Keith) Hampton and Autumn (Brian) Hicks; son Andrew (Melissa) Gander; grandchildren Brooke Hampton, Emily Hampton, Carter Hicks, Kason Irvin, Eli Irvin, Christian Wagner; great-granddaughter Cora Wagner; and sisters, Betty (Doyne) Garrett and Peggy (Mike) Woodside. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rose Marie Stanfill, brother, Terry Stanfill, and his wife, Rita Howard Stanfill.
The visitation to honor Winford's life will take place at Heath Funeral Home on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 5 til 8 pm. Funeral services for Winford are scheduled for Sunday, March 3, 2024 at 2 pm at the funeral home with burial following at Shiloh Cemetery.
The family requests that lasting memorials in memory of Winford may be made to the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Winford's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him, and his spirit will be carried through the fond memories shared by family and friends. May he rest in peace.
