Wilma Gay Morgan Roush, born on March 4, 1949, in Paragould, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion. A beloved matriarch, she was known for her unwavering spirit and commitment to her family, her community, and her faith.
Wilma was a proud member of Victory Temple Church for over thirty years, where she served as a prayer warrior, faithfully lifting others in prayer no matter the time or place. She also attended the Church of God in Ash Flat during her time there, embodying a spirit of service and compassion. Her love for God was deeply intertwined with her daily life; she found joy in reading her Bible, singing hymns, and praying for those in need.
In addition to her spiritual pursuits, Wilma enjoyed the beauty of nature, often spending her time hiking outdoors and rock hunting. She cherished her moments spent with family, especially her grandchildren, and took delight in sewing clothing for her loved ones, crafting Easter outfits with care and attention. Her role as a caregiver to many women in the Walcott community is a testament to her generous heart and nurturing spirit.
Wilma is survived by her devoted children: Gayla (Ron) Miller, Gaylon (Patricia) Roush, Frances Cook, and Amy (Josh) Morris. She is also mourned by her sister, Genevieve Pillow; brother, Glen (Ramona) Morgan; and her beloved grandchildren, Breanne (Ashton) Knowles, Dillon Roush, Chase Morris, and Brayden Morris, and many step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Artis Roush; father, Russ Morgan; mother, Glenna Morgan; siblings, Corena Mick, Wanda Peters, and Rex Morgan; granddaughter, Jazzy Miller; and son-in-law, Rick Cook.
A public visitation will take place at Heath Funeral Home on Sunday, April 12, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Rev. Ron Miller will officiate the funeral service at Heath Funeral Home on Monday, April 13, at 1:00 PM, concluding with Wilma's burial at Providence Cemetery.
Wilma Gay Roush will be remembered for her boundless love, her profound faith, and her unwavering commitment to her family and community. Her spirit will continue to impact all who were fortunate enough to know her.
