Dale Crowell

Willis Dale Crowell, a beloved member of the Jonesboro, Arkansas community, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on September 18, 1943, in Minturn, Arkansas, Dale lived a life filled with laughter, devotion, and dedication to his family and work.

Known for his infectious sense of humor, Dale was a true jokester, always ready to pull a prank or share a joke that would brighten the day of those around him. His laughter and lighthearted spirit will be deeply missed by family and friends alike.

Dale held a distinguished career as a Tow Boat Chief Engineer with Ingram Barge Company, navigating the rivers and bringing his skills and expertise to the shipping industry. He also operated his own trucking business, DC Transport, reflecting his commitment to hard work and entrepreneurship. In his personal life, he was an avid collector of model antique tractors, a hobby that complemented his love for country and gospel music.

He was a devoted member of Finch Baptist Church, where he found a community that shared in his values and Christian faith.

Dale is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Crowell; his son, David Crowell and daughter-in-law Terri; his daughter, Sonia Ingle and son-in-law Richard; his sister, Mavis Durham; his brother, Randall Crowell and sister-in-law Vi; as well as his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren-Megan Pierce, Hunter Ingle, Scott Ingle, Savannah Pierce, Garrison Pierce, Jaxson Ingle, Corbin Ingle, Reid Ingle, Scarlett Ingle, Ashlee Ingle, and Rylee Ingle, all of whom will carry on his legacy of joy and love.

Dale was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Crowell; mother, Beatrice Crowell; brother, Norman Crowell; sisters, Reba McQuay and Beulah Lauder; and grandson, Cody Crowell.

Services will be held at Grace Temple Baptist Church on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, with public visitation at 10:00 AM. A funeral service honoring Dale's life will take place at 11:00 AM that same day with Bro. Royce Boling officiating. Following the service, interment will occur at Pine Log Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest among the serene landscape. Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Tim Arnold, Brad Crowell, Brian Crowell, Brandon Crowell, Hunter Ingle, and Jeremy Kisling. Honorary Pallbearers are Rex Lofton, Johnny Woods, Burl Langston, and Richard Ingle.

In this time of remembrance, may we celebrate the life of Willis Dale Crowell, cherishing the memories he created and the love he shared throughout his life. His spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
