William Henry

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of William "Bill" Thomas Henry, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend. William, born on April 6, 1941, in Sevierville, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro at the age of 83.

Throughout his life, Bill found joy in the simple pleasures - whether it was fishing, tending to his garden, spending time with his grandchildren, or tinkering with cars. His passion for mechanics led him to a career as a machine and heavy equipment operator in the manufacturing industry.

Bill is survived by his loving daughter, Teresa Henry; daughter-in-law, Connie Henry; grandchildren, Jyllean Harris, Coty (Alisa) Harris, Lacey (Jonathan) Wheeler, Andrew Henry, and Matt (Brianna) Henry; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Henry; sister, Hettie Jane Weaver; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Together, they shared countless cherished memories and experiences.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, John R. and Ida J. (Ogle) Henry; son, William Robert Henry; and daughter, Vera Viola Henry.

William Thomas Henry was a kind and humble man who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
