William "Bill" DuFau, of Paragould, passed away on July 9, 2024, at the age of 56. Born on August 15, 1967, in Aurora, Illinois, Bill was a hard worker who dedicated his life to making a positive impact on those around him. Known for his unwavering support for the Dallas Cowboys and the Arkansas Razorbacks, Bill's passion for sports was matched only by his dedication to helping others.
A 1985 graduate of Greene County Tech High School, Bill continued his education, ultimately earning a Master's Degree in Social Work from Arkansas State University. As a Social Work Counselor at The Logan's Center, Bill threw himself into his work, always going above and beyond to support those in need. His generosity was evident in his actions, such as buying shoes for children who lacked resources.
Bill will be remembered for his dry humor and infectious laugh, which lit up any room he entered. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He is survived by his son, Troy DuFau, of Paragould, Arkansas, sister, Vanessa DuFau of Phoenix, Arizona, aunt, Jo Anne Williams, uncle, Charles Williams, both of Paragould, Arkansas, niece, Rose Massey of Paragould, Arkansas, nephew, Kadyn (Savanna) Massey of Galesburg, Illinois, special cousins; Todd (Jennifer) Meeker of Spring Hill, Tennessee, Michael (Maria) Meeker of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee, Brett (Misty) Meeker of Spring Hill, Tennessee, Payton (Sean) Rosichan of Spring Hill, Tennessee, Meredith Meeker of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Max Meeker of Spring Hill, Tennessee, and many other friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents William and Velma DuFau, maternal grandmother, DeLoris Johnson, father, Donald Edward DuFau, stepmother, Irene DuFau, mother, Sharryne Massey (Ken), and sister Shelly Massey.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of William "Bill" DuFau will be held on Friday, August 2, at Heath Funeral Home at 12:00 pm. Pastor Charles Stoddard will be officiating. Friends, family, and community members are invited to join in honoring his memory and sharing stories of his remarkable life. Bill's legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to inspire all who were touched by his presence.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made to Abilities Unlimited of Northeast Arkansas.
