William "Dub" Carroll Taylor, 89, of Paragould, passed from this life on Friday, February 17, 2023. He was born on February 22, 1933, to the late W.C. and Pearl Taylor. Dub graduated from Stanford High School in 1951. He married Wanda Davis on September 21, 1952. They remained married for 65 years until her passing in 2017. Dub spent his early career farming. He became a truck driver, and Dub eventually retired from Paragould School District. He enjoyed gardening, and he loved yard work. Dub was a veteran having served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wanda Taylor; sisters, Pauline, Reba, Monzell, Inez, and Ruth; and brother, R.V. "Buster".
Dub is survived by his children, Keith (Debbie) Taylor of Loredo, Janet Willis of Paragould, Scotty Taylor of Hoxie, Marty Taylor of Monette, Tena (Mike) Ewton of Cohutta, Georgia, and Lana LaBruyere of Terre Du Lac, Missouri; grandchildren, Brad (Tammy) Taylor, Samantha Taylor, Heith (Kelli) Willis, Holly Gunn, Jill Taylor, Katie Taylor, Brittany (Tyler) Mooney, Shauna (Jay) Throesch, Chelsea (Austin) Cronan, Morgan (Aaron) Elder, Clayton LaBruyere, and Claire LaBruyere; thirteen great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and very special neighborhood friends that he made.
The family will receive friends Monday, February 20, 2023, from 10:30-11:30 AM at Heath Funeral Home. A graveside funeral will begin at 12 PM at Greene County Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Dr. Marc Reeves officiating. Pallbearers are Matthew Gunn, Joshua Gunn, Karter Willis, Kooper Willis, Kyler Willis, and Heith Willis. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Heifer International.
