Wiley Dean Clark

August 12, 1930 — June 13, 2021

Wiley Dean Danley Clark was born on August 12, 1930 in Paragould, Arkansas to Thomas Wiley Danley and Dona Jane Sims Danley. She departed this life on June 13, 2021 at the home she shared with her daughter and caregiver. She was a lifelong resident of Greene County and a member of Commissary Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her father in 1931 and her mother in 1974. She married Sherman Eugene Clark on November 5, 1949 and he died on their 45th wedding anniversary in 1994.

Wiley Dean is survived by their daughter, Sherma Dean Clark Dicus, Sherma’s fiancé, Alfred Joseph Austin III “Joey” who was also a faithful caregiver; Sherma’s sons: Marty Dicus and Shannon Dicus with his wife Kristy, his children: son, Michael (Rebecca) Dicus, and twin daughters: Sarah (Garrett) Johnson, and Rachel (Haden) Irvin and their daughter, Heidi Brooke Irvin. She is also survived by brothers-in-law: Victor Rowe and A.L. Pogue; sisters-in-law: Lois Clark and Annette Clark; and a host of special cousins survive.

Services are under the direction of Heath Funeral Home: visitation and funeral will both be at Commissary Church of Christ, GR 609 Road. Visitation, Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm with funeral at 11:30 am Wednesday at the church. Burial in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, of Paragould.

Pallbearers: (nephews): Philip and Mark Rowe, Charles, Roger, and Bart Rowe, Bradley Clark, Randy and Ricky Clark, Clark and Craig Thompson, and Perry Pogue.

Honorary pallbearers: Victor Rowe, A.L. Pogue, and Tony Hall.

The family wants to express a special thanks to neighbors on Hillview Drive who were always faithful to help with Wiley Dean’s needs.
