Timothy Lynn Dowler was born March 19, 1963 in St. Louis, Missouri with his twin brother Terry to Wayne and Loretta Dowler (White). He attended Riverview High School and Trinity Baptist Church, where he made his profession of Faith at age thirteen and was baptized. He later studied at Central Baptist College and The University of Central Arkansas in Conway, AR. He made life long friends and met the love of his life there. After graduating, Tim married Lisa Dowler (Loftin) in 1989. He then started teaching and coaching at Greene County Tech, where he would spend the next thirty-seven years.
Tim was the hardest working person in the whole school district. He never said no to any duty or task. His dedication to Tech is shown in the immense pride he took in his career and in his willingness to do whatever was asked or not asked of him. Greene County Tech was a place he loved and cherished with his whole heart.
Tim and Lisa have three children: Brittney, Brooke, and Brady. They have a daughter-in-law, Tristan Dowler (Arquitt), and two granddaughters, Lainey and Annie. Together, Tim and Lisa had a life of love for each other and their children. Tim shared his love for Lake Norfork and all things "Lake Life" with his family. He cherished summers "cove hunting" and relaxing at his favorite place. He loved the St. Louis Cardinals and always had the game on the radio wherever he was. He loved going to flea markets and finding new treasures to display. He enjoyed being on the go, always finding a job to do and seeing it through to completion.
Tim loved the Lord and dedicated his life to Him and the Gospel. Tim was a member of Harvest Baptist Church for over thirty-seven years. He was a Deacon, taught Sunday School and served in the Jail Ministry faithfully. He loved to fellowship with his brothers and sisters in Christ. He shared his faith with his children and witnessed them coming to know the Lord.
"Well done my good and faithful servant."
Tim heard these words as he entered the Kingdom of Heaven. He spent his life on earth pointing his family, friends and others to Christ and showed true love and compassion to everyone he knew. Though our hearts ache, we rejoice knowing that he is in Paradise with his dad, family, and our Lord and Savior.
Tim's life will be celebrated on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 1 PM at Harvest Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until service time. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Gene Weeks, Michael Todd, Steven Hovis, Ray Stricker, Butch Cooper, and Tony Forehand.
