Thomas Earl "Tommy" Neel, left this world peacefully on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on June 21, 1957, in Kennett, He lived a vibrant life full of hard work and being the life of the party.
Tommy was a proud graduate of Southland High School, Class of 1975. He went on to become a skilled welder, freelancing and bringing his expertise to numerous customers. He also worked as a farmhand across southeast Missouri. His work ethic and passion for his craft were second to none, and he was admired for his dedication and ingenuity in the welding industry.
In addition to his craft, Tommy had diverse interests that mirrored his fun-loving spirit. He was an avid collector of knives, boasting an extensive collection that he loved to share with family and friends. He had a knack for finding joy in the little things, often spending his downtime binge-watching supernatural shows and scrolling through entertaining YouTube reels. He was an avid supporter of the St. Louis Cardinals, passionately following the team throughout the years. He identified as a Baptist and valued the comfort that faith provides.
Tommy is survived by his daughter, Pamela Neel; sons, Brandon Neel and Christopher Biggs all of Paragould; brother, Alan (Gena) Neel of Kennett; and the mother of his chidren, Angela Small. He took great pride in his grandchildren-Makayla Duke, Parker Vangilder, Trenton Biggs, and Kaylie Biggs-and his great-granddaughter, Aurelia Hernandez. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Jewel Neel; wife, Leah Neel; and sister, Linda Hutchison.
