Listen to Obituary

Today, we gather with heavy hearts to remember and celebrate the life of Sherri Lynn Pendergrass-a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose presence filled every room she entered. Sherri was born on March 9, 1972, and she passed away on January 24, 2026, at her home, surrounded by the family she loved so deeply.

Sherri was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Floyd and Pearl Taylor, and Haskle and Nellie Counts. While we mourn her passing, we find comfort in knowing she is reunited with those who went before her.

She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her devoted husband, Randy Pendergrass of Paragould, who stood faithfully by her side every step of the way; her parents, Les and Barbara Taylor of Corning; her children, Trent (Shelby) Wooldridge of Jonesboro and Natalie (Luke) Carmer of Paragould; her stepchildren, Ryan Pendergrass of Paragould and Karrisa Pendergrass of Wasilla, Alaska; her brother, Shane (Stephanie) Taylor of Jonesboro; and her seven grandchildren, who were truly the joy of her life.

Sherri spent years working in insurance. She developed deep friendships during her career and enjoyed her time at work, especially her years spent at United Home Insurance.

Above all else, Sherri's heart belonged to her family-especially her grandchildren. They were her pride, her laughter, and her greatest happiness. She poured her love into them freely and completely, creating memories they will carry with them forever.

Sherri was a woman full of life. She had an extraordinary talent for decorating and an eye for beauty, effortlessly turning ordinary spaces into places of warmth and comfort. She loved shopping with her family and friends, not just for the things she found, but for the time spent together-the conversations, laughter, and shared moments that meant so much to her.

Sherri lived her life in a way that brought joy and warmth to those around her. Countless memories were made during her more than two dozen trips to the gulf. Her favorite beach was Perdido Key, Florida, where the sun, sand, and surf filled her heart with happiness and serenity. She always referred to the ocean as her "happy place".

A faithful member of Christian Life Center in Brookland, Sherri's faith was an important part of who she was. It guided her love for others and sustained her through life's challenges.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Heath Funeral Home in Paragould. A public visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will commence at 2:00 PM, celebrating Sherri's life and the profound impact she had on those around her. Due to the weather and extreme cold, burial will be private.

Though our hearts ache in her absence, we are grateful for the years we were given with her-for her love, creativity, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family. Sherri's life was one of deep love and connection, and her legacy will live on through each life she touched.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
