Ruth Ranae Twedt Collier of Paragould, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025 in Memphis, Tennessee, surrounded by her husband and daughter. Ranae was born in Story City, Iowa on July 16, 1955 to Alvin "Bud" and Elaine Twedt.
Ranae's warm and caring personality was evident to all who knew her. She had a kind and generous heart, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. She enjoyed cooking and baking, and the dinner table was always a place of love and laughter. She was an avid bird watcher and lover of the wildlife that surrounded their family home. She had a strong personal faith and enjoyed volunteering in church to serve others in need.
In the last few years of her life, she proudly became a grandmother. Her nurturing spirit, unwavering support, and boundless love will live on in the hearts of her grandchildren, who affectionately called her "Gangee".
Ranae leaves behind her devoted husband of 49 years, Dr. Jon Collier; daughter, Erin Collier of Virginia; and grandchildren Behkam, Benji, and Zuri. She is also survived by one brother, Mark Twedt and his wife Angie of Iowa; 5 nieces and 5 nephews; 3 great nieces and 10 great nephews; and 3 great-great nieces and 3 great-great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her brother, Alan Twedt.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, November 12th at 10 AM at West View Baptist Church in Paragould, Arkansas.
