Russell Hunt, Sr.

Russell Mack Hunt Sr., age 67, of Paragould, departed from this life on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, in the comfort of his home. Born on June 9, 1958, in Paragould and raised in nearby Walcott, Russell was a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many.

Russell graduated from Greene County Tech High School in the mid-1970s and dedicated 30 years of his life to his career as a factory worker at Monroe. Known for his unwavering work ethic, he exemplified commitment and integrity in all that he did.

Beyond his profession, Russell found joy in the simple pleasures of life. A passionate motorcycle enthusiast, he reveled in the freedom of the open road. Music held a special place in his heart, and playing the drums brought him immense happiness. He also had a green thumb, delighting in his garden where he cultivated sunflowers growing them as tall as he could and carefully tended to his tomato plants.

Russell's faith was important to him, having been baptized at the age of 11, but he truly solidified his relationship with Christ in the final years of his life.

He leaves behind a loving family that includes his daughter Heather Boyd; his sons, Russell (Alicia) Hunt, Jr. and Ross Hunt; his granddaughters, Emma Hunt, Jasey Standley, and Brynley Boyd; his grandsons, Bentley Boyd and Becklyn Boyd; his sister, Diane (Robert) May; and a grandson on the way. Russell is preceded in death by his parents, Futrell and Onegin Hunt, and his grandson, Landon Russell Hunt.

Russell's memory will be honored in a funeral service that will take place on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Heath Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Mears officiating. Prior to the service, there will be a visitation from 1:00 PM until the start of the service. Following the service, Russell will be cremated, in accordance with his wishes.

As we gather to celebrate the life of Russell Mack Hunt Sr., let us remember the warmth, kindness, and joy he brought into our lives. His spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
