Rosemary Farmer

December 19, 1943 — January 27, 2024

With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to Rosemary Farmer, a remarkable woman who brought light and love to those around her. Born on a sunny December day in Judsonia, Arkansas, Rosemary's spirit shone brightly throughout her 80 years of life. She embraced each day with grace, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to making a difference.

Rosemary dedicated herself to the nursing profession for an astounding 49 years, touching countless lives with her tender care and selflessness. Her healing hands and nurturing spirit provided comfort to the ailing and weary, leaving an indelible imprint on the hearts of patients and their families. As we gather to celebrate her life, let us honor her incredible dedication and the legacy she leaves behind.

Beyond her nursing career, Rosemary's passions encompassed the realms of creativity and knowledge. A skilled seamstress, she loved to sew and quilt. With a book in hand, Rosemary would immerse herself in various stories, finding solace and inspiration within the pages. Her thirst for knowledge was unquenchable, always seeking to expand her horizons.

Through her unwavering faith, Rosemary found solace and strength as a devoted member of the Church of Christ. Her steadfast belief in the power of prayer guided her through life's joys and challenges, providing her with the assurance that she was never alone. Her spirit of faith will forever shine brightly as a beacon of hope for all who knew her.

Known affectionately as "MeMe" to all, Rosemary had a heart that knew no boundaries. Whether bound by blood or love, she embraced her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with an unconditional love that knew no bounds. Her legacy of love and devotion will forever be treasured by her sons, Les (Teresa) Roland of Marmaduke and Cody Farmer of Paragould; daughters, Kathy (Allen) Shetley of Oklahoma and Sammie (Zach) Thomason of Paragould; grandchildren, Jacob (Natalie) Roland, Sara Roland, Krysti (Chris) Kirkwood, Kyle Shetley, Isaac (Alexis) Johnson, Logan (Cortney) Johnson, Cody Johnson, and Sarah Johnson; great grandchildren, Madison, Keaton, and Kinley Shetley, Rhett, Thomas, and Jack Johnson, and Kinzlee and Bentley Easley; sisters, Dian Potter and Patsy Singleton; brother, Jesse (Lynn) Amick, son-in-law in love, John (Charity) Johnson; her BFF, Connie Gill; and all who were fortunate enough to be counted as family, including Dierksen Hospice and their nurses, Kristen Quinn and Camille Richie, who provided such loving care during a difficult time.

Rosemary was preceded by her parents, Sam and Maud Amick; son, Harvey Roland; brothers, Bobby Joe, Leon, and Dean Amick; sisters, Norma Jean Holland and Dorothy Amick; her first husband, Doyle Roland; and her second husband, Carl Farmer.

Rosemary's bustling energy and unwavering work ethic were contagious. She tackled life's challenges with resilience and a tenacity that inspired those around her. Her love for the color lilac radiated through her being, reflecting her vibrant personality. As we mourn her loss, let us also celebrate the vibrant essence of Rosemary's life, forever etched in our memories.
