Ronnie Lee Hoyer

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronnie Lee Hoyer, who was called home on July 23, 2026, at the age of 72. Ronnie was born on August 7, 1953, in Paragould, Arkansas where he spent his childhood.

Ronnie spent his life in the service of God and people through church ministry and overseas mission work. He visited many countries in his missionary service including Haiti, Guyana, Suriname, and India. Ronnie spent the majority of his mission career in India where he assisted in church planting and established multiple sustained ministries for local communities.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Ollie Hoyer; and brothers Owen, Claude, and Donald.

Ronnie is survived by his wife Cheryl; brother Dennis; children Stephen (Misty), Chadd (Charity), Jeremy (Ashley), and Laura May (James); eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; and a myriad of family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 31, 2026 beginning at 10 Am at Paragould Christian Church. A funeral service will begin at 10:45 with Duane Dutka, Bill McCoy, and Theron Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Coffman Cemetery.

Ronnie will be remembered for his dry wit, his love for his family, and his dedication to God's service. He was always looking for a way to help others, and his generous spirit was contagious.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Stephen Hoyer, Chadd Hoyer, Jeremy Hoyer, James May, Isahi Tello, Harrison Dunn, Ethan Hoyer, and Theron Harris.
