Roger Edward Specking, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on April 30, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on November 22, 1957, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, Roger made a mark on the lives of those he encountered through his unwavering dedication to family and community.

Roger retired from a distinguished 37-year career in the United States Air Force, where he raised to the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. His commitment to service was paralleled by his role at the Arkansas Highway Department, reflecting his steadfast dedication to his community. Roger was known for being the "go-to" person among his family and friends; he could be counted on to lend a helping hand, whether it was fixing something in need of repair or offering wise counsel.

A proud Razorbacks fan, Roger enjoyed spending his leisure time watching his favorite team compete, as well as driving his tractor and tending to his yard, all while listening to his favorite music. Roger also had an appreciation for the arts, which was evident when he picked up his guitar and drew pictures in his spare time. His joy for life was most evident in the love he had for his family. Roger was deeply devoted to his children, Eric Specking and Jennifer Bockstahler, and relished every moment spent with his cherished grandchildren, Jacob Specking, Alayna Pepper, and Chloe Pepper. He took immense pleasure in doing anything for them, always putting their needs above his own.

Roger was a valued member of the Knights of Columbus, living out his faith through service and brotherhood. His legacy of kindness, generosity, and love for his family will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Roger is survived by his devoted wife, Gloria Specking; his daughter, Jennifer (Kyle) Bockstahler; his son, Eric (Claudine) Specking; his grandchildren, Jacob Specking, Alayna Pepper, and Chloe Pepper; his sisters, Judy Brasher and Nancy Baldwin; and his brothers, Bernard Specking and David Specking. He leaves behind a significant void in the lives of his loved ones, who will continue to honor his memory.
Roger was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Specking; mother, Wanda Specking; and sister, Mary Carroll.

The family will gather to celebrate Roger's life and legacy on Saturday, May 9, 2026. A public visitation will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM, followed by a Mass at 11:15 AM. Following the service, Roger will be laid to rest at Greene County Memorial Gardens.
