Robert "Bob" Sanford Elledge, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on October 27, 1948, in Swoope, Virginia, Robert was raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, where his family relocated when he was just three years old. He graduated from Metropolitan High School in 1968 and went on to dedicate over 15 years of his life as a housekeeper for the Veteran's Administration.
Robert was a man of great character and unwavering loyalty. He married Lynda "Terri" Clary on May 24, 1975, and together they built a life full of love. He was a proud member of the Mary Williams Masonic Lodge 307 in Little Rock for over 30 years, where he formed lasting friendships and contributed to the community he loved. A devoted family man, Robert embraced his role as a 'Scout Dad' while his son, Robert Anthony Elledge, grew up, cherishing the time spent in service to the Boy Scouts of America and the joy of family activities.
Fishing was among his favorite pastimes, providing him with peace and an opportunity to connect with nature. Robert's gentle soul found immense joy in working with the nursery at his Church. His ability to soothe and rock little ones to sleep left a lasting impression on many families.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Lynda "Terri" Elledge; his son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Robert Anthony (Crystal) Elledge of Springfield, Missouri; his brother, Jim (Barb) Elledge of San Diego, California; and his half-sister, Gale Davis of Bryant, Arkansas. His absence will be profoundly felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Elledge and Estalene (Smith) Elledge, and sister, Beth Ann Brooks.
A visitation will be Friday, July 17, 2026, from 9-10 AM at Heath Funeral Home in Paragould. A funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM, with interment following at Greene County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
In honoring Robert's life, let us remember the warmth of his smile, the kindness of his spirit, and the legacy of love he leaves behind. He will forever remain in our hearts.
