Richard Pyland

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Allen Pyland, 81, of Little Rock, who departed from this world peacefully on January 21, 2026. Born on November 15, 1944, in Paragould,, Rick, as he was affectionately known, touched the lives of many with his warmth, kindness, and spirited personality.

Rick was a proud graduate of Paragould High School and dedicated his professional life to the finance industry, where he excelled in marketing. He will be remembered not only for his professional accomplishments but also for his deep love of sports. An avid fan, Rick cherished every moment spent following his beloved Chicago Bears and was always ready to celebrate a great game, particularly during football season. His passion for sports extended beyond just watching; he also loved to play golf and found joy in the serenity of fishing.

Later in life, Rick moved to Little Rock, where he spent his days in the loving companionship of his partner, Cheryl Parker. Together, they created a beautiful life filled with laughter, adventure, and shared memories.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Ruby Pyland. He leaves behind his significant other and love of his life, Cheryl Parker, along with his children, Stephanie Houge and Nicholas Pyland.

Rick's spirit will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His kindness and enthusiasm for life left an indelible mark on the hearts of those around him.
