It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Phyllis Dianne Adams, who left this world on May 21, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on December 18, 1942, in Paragould, Arkansas, Phyllis dedicated her life to education and her community, leaving a lasting legacy that will not be forgotten.
A proud graduate of Greene County Tech High School in 1960, Phyllis earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from Arkansas State University. She devoted 27 years of her life as a third-grade teacher at Rector Elementary, inspiring countless young minds with her dedication and love for learning. In addition to her professional achievements, Phyllis married her beloved husband, Glen Adams, on June 2, 1990, sharing a life filled with love and companionship.
A lifelong member of the Methodist Church, Phyllis recently attended Pruetts Chapel Methodist Church, where she found strength and solace in her faith. Her generous spirit was evident through her many contributions to the community, including nearly 4,000 volunteer hours as a "Pink Lady" at Arkansas Methodist Hospital and her role as a lifetime member and group leader of Weight Watchers International. Phyllis was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need, embodying the true essence of compassion and selflessness.
She had a passion for reading, particularly appreciating inspirational and romance literature, and cherished the memories of camping trips in her younger years with her parents.
