Penny was a vibrant, deeply loving dog who brought immeasurable joy to everyone who knew her. For twelve wonderful years, she was the cherished fur-baby of her mother, Maya Newbern, serving as the ultimate comfort dog through all of life’s ups and downs—a steady, soothing presence on bad days and a source of pure celebration on the good ones.

Penny had a passion for life and a few favorite pastimes, which included enthusiastically chasing after bikers, kids, and her absolute favorite, Big Mike. She was a social butterfly who loved playing with her brothers, Armani and Furious Johnson. Perhaps her favorite daily routine, however, was when the house would empty out, leaving her with uninterrupted quality time to spend with her big brother, Brazilion Oliver.

Yet, nothing quite compared to the absolute best part of Penny’s day: the moment her dad, Montrell Newbern, walked through the door from work, ready to take her on one of their legendary long walks.

Penny crosses the Rainbow Bridge to rejoin her first mother, Little Bit, and her first owner, Jim Eads, who both preceded her in death.

She leaves behind a massive, loving family who will miss her dearly, including her devoted parents, Maya and Montrell; her four sibling brothers; six uncles; four aunties; and her beloved grandmother, Linda Eads. Penny’s legacy of unconditional love, loyalty, and spirited energy will live on in the hearts of the Newbern and Eads families forever.
