It is with great sadness that the family of Paul Delbert Nowell announces his passing on Monday, July 4, 2022, at the age of 79. He was born on June 20, 1943, in Marmaduke, Arkansas. He attended Marmaduke High School and completed a Machinist Apprenticeship in St. Louis. He was an accomplished Tool and Die Maker. Paul Nowell retired from Chrysler with a long career in the automotive/tool and die industry.
Paul was a talented woodworker, automotive expert, and avid gardener. He was known for his love of the Cardinal baseball team, motorcycles, and classic cars. He was recognized for his ability to cultivate amazing tomatoes and his generosity in sharing them with others. He took great pride in growing the vegetables but more joy in bringing smiles to his friends and family. Paul was noted as well for his love of nature and animals, his ability to talk to anyone, his quick wit, and his loving heart.
Paul will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Cindy Brown and Deborah Caudle (Gary Caudle), and his partner, Barbara Null. “Papa Del” will be fondly remembered by his twelve grandchildren and his nineteen great grandchildren. He will be dearly remembered by his sister, Caroline Cox, and his nephews, Mark and Scott Williams.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, John and Pearl Nowell; his son-in-law, Jamie Brown; and his brother-in-laws, Donald Williams and Kenneth Cox.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 8, 2022, from 11:30 am until 1 pm at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral will begin at 1 pm with Rev. Kim Bridges officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery.
