Patsy Ruth Forkum, born on February 3, 1945, in Sedgwick, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, in Paragould. She leaves behind a cherished legacy and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Patsy dedicated her life to her family. She loved spending time with her sons, Ricky (Karen) and Terry (Tammy) Forkum, and her grandchildren, Katelynn, Karlee, Cody, Levi (Kirby), Michael (Ashley), Cody, and Casey (Marissa). Known for her warm spirit and nurturing heart, she created countless memories around the dinner table, often showcasing her culinary talents. Her coconut cream pie and chicken and dumplings were beloved by all and served as a testament to her love for cooking.
A passionate writer, Patsy enjoyed expressing herself through poetry, crafting verses that reflected the beauty and complexities of life. For 62 years, she was married to the love of her life, Bobby, a bond that was characterized by mutual respect, deep affection, and unwavering support for each other through all of life's journeys.
Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Forkum; father, Jack Deen; mother, Lillie Deen; granddaughters, Reianna Forkum and Destiney Forkum; and brothers Carl Head, Homer Head, and Alfred Deen.
Patsy's life will be celebrated with a visitation at Heath Funeral Home on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. A graveside service will take place at Greene County Memorial Gardens on the same day at 1:00 p.m., where she will be laid to rest.
Patsy Ruth Forkum will be remembered for her quick wit, beautiful smile, kindness, love of family, and the joy she brought into the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her, especially her sons who will always treasure the love and support she forever showed them. May she rest in peace, forever embraced by the love of those she cherished.
