Pamela Ann Snyder, 70, of Paragould, passed away on November 5, 2026. She was born March 26, 1956, in Lake City, Arkansas, to William “Jay” and Madeline Newton.
Pam married Curtis Snyder on June 30, 1973. Together, they built a life centered on family and raised two sons, Brad and Brandon.
A 1974 graduate of Lake City High School, Pam worked at Riverside School District in Lake City before her family moved to Paragould in 1990. She later began working at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center as a switchboard operator and advanced to credit department manager before retiring.
Pam was a member of Brown’s Chapel Baptist Church, where she attended until her health no longer allowed.
Pam loved people and found joy in helping others. Above all, she treasured her family. Her favorite titles were wife to Curtis, Mom to Brad and Brandon, and Nana to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She would light up whenever she saw them, and time spent with them was among her greatest joys. Her kindness and the love she so freely gave will remain with those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, Garry Newton, Linda Jones, and Curtis Newton.
She is survived by her husband, Curtis Snyder; her sons, Brad Snyder and wife Darrah, and Brandon Snyder and wife Haely; her grandchildren, Zack Snyder, Gage Snyder and wife Kaitlyn, Madison Melton and husband Landon, and Cecilia Snyder; and her great-grandchildren, Oliver Melton and Parker Melton, all of Paragould.
She also leaves behind her siblings, Rilla Cope and husband Bill of Jonesboro, Bill Newton and wife Charlotte of Bay, and Randy Newton and wife Sandra of Greenbriar, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Stacey Noel and his staff at Family Practice Clinic for their exceptional care over the last couple of years. The family also extends its heartfelt gratitude to St. Bernard’s Hospice for their care, compassion, and assistance during Pam’s final days.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 9, 2026, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Brown’s Chapel Baptist Church, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Dale Noe will officiate. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Heath Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Pam’s honor may be sent to Brown’s Chapel Baptist Church in Paragould or to the charity of one’s choice.
