Opal Lorene Burgess

Opal Lorene Burgess, 91, Cardwell, Missouri, died Wednesday, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. She was born January 28, 1919 in Dunklin County, Missouri the daughter of the late Bud and Mary Elizabeth Paxton Dickerson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arlie H. Burgess, Sr., son, Arlie H. Burgess, Jr. and her siblings. She was Assembly of God and a Homemaker. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Wava and Jim Durham of Gallion, Alabama; grandchildren: Tracy Jones, Penny Toombs, Keith Durham, Scott, Durham; great grandchildren: Ryan and Josh Jones, Jake Toombs, Niki Bailey, Melena Dunavent, Mica Durham; great great grandchildren: T.J. Dunavent and Fletcher Bailey. The family will receive friends tomorrow from 10:00-11:00 AM with funeral service starting at 11:00 AM at Heath Colonial Chapel. Burial will follow at Cardwell Cemetery.
