Monroe Junior Abbott

Monroe Junior Abbott, 77, of Paragould, passed away Friday at his residence. He was the son of the late Ira and Elizabeth Abbott. Monroe was a truck driver who's hobbies included hunting, fishing, and playing solitaire on his computer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Monroe is also preceded in death by his wife, Terrie Abbott; sister, Janiece Smithon; and a niece, Amber McClaughlin.

Survivors include son, Ira Joseph Abbott, of Truman; daughters, Beth Abbott, of Truman and Marsha West (Steve White), of Paragould; grandchildren, Kalueb Abbott, Hope Abbott, Brandon Abbott, Jada White (James Addison), and Monique White; great grandchildren, Teigan White and Javier (Ruff) Lopez; sister, Wanda Linton, of Truman; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be Tuesday at Wood's Chapel cemetery beginning at 1:00 pm under the direction of Heath Funeral Home. Memorials may be sent to Wounded Warrior Project.
