Milton Lee Stone

August 16, 1961 — February 6, 2021

Milton Lee ‘Papa’ Stone, born August 16th, 1961, passed away from a massive heart in his residence located in Paragould, Arkansas on February 6th, 2021. He is survived by his wife, Carol Stone, his son, Michael Boyd and his wife Renee, his grandchildren, Brittny and her husband Skylar, Amber and her husband Wesley, Emily who lives in the home, and Michael who lives in the home, his great grandchildren, Kylan, Killian, Tenlee, and Gabriel, his mother Jean Stone, and his siblings, Bill, Diane, and Andy. He is predeceased by his father Richard and his daughter Michelle.

The Man, The Myth became Legend as he went home to be with the Lord on Saturday. Lee dedicated his vitality to serving God and his family, gracing those who met him with his ardent and earnest commitment to being an incredible man. He recalled his youth as being full of pranks and work, and modestly left his high school grades up for his grandchildren to guess. He told everyone he met of his real-life experience of love at first sight with his wife, and declared his solicitude for her adamantly and without doubt. He loved his children unhesitatingly and guided them as any great father would have, and when his daughter fell ill his faith was unwavering as he prayed. Lee sacrificed more than just his money as his family grew, and more than once his grandchildren thanked him with using the bathroom on his head, or making him bake his many treats in the kitchen late at night. Beyond the impact he had within his family, Lee had an influence on his community. For several years, he hosted an annual Revival, where he could, by his wishes, listen to his wife and grandchildren sing, and The National Day of Prayer, hoping to bring as many people as he could closer to God. People came to pray with him and mend their spiritual relationships, and several times he was able to preach at varying churches and to varying crowds. His legacy saved numerous individuals, and he guided his family to the light as well, offering scriptures and profound advice that led them to the Lord. Though he is finally at home, he is deeply remembered here through his loved ones and those who interacted with them, and continues to provide guidance and comfort. The Man, The Myth, and The Legend has found peace and will be treasured until we have all gone home to reunite with him. Until then, we will enjoy banana splits from Dairy Queen a little bit more, and do the Papa Dance a little more often.

Lee’s memorial service will be held this Friday, February 12th, 2021, at 6:00pm. It will be located at the Marmaduke First General Baptist Church. Donations are unnecessary but greatly appreciated.
