Missy Church

Melissa Ann "Missy" Church, age 58, of Paragould, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026. Born on December 31, 1967, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, Missy was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, and grandmother who spread joy and warmth to everyone she encountered.

Missy was a devoted mother to her son, Kevin Hammond, and a cherished grandmother to her seven grandchildren-Zayden Maxwell, Lainey Jordan, Larsen Jordan, Elainah Jordan, Aubree Hammond, Emma Hammond, and Kevin Hammond-Melissa's love for her family was profound. She created lasting memories filled with laughter and joy, often spending time with her grandson affectionately known as "Bub."

Missy had a passion for crafting custom fish lures, a testament to her creativity and artful talent. Her playful spirit extended to her love for pets; she had a special affinity for cats, often adopting strays and welcoming them into her home. She thrived in the company of friends, finding joy in simple pleasures such as playing dice and sharing moments with those she loved.

She is survived by her beloved son, Kevin Hammond; brother Rod Church; sister Krickett Merrell; step-sister Casandra West; her cherished grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Missy's kindness and warmth will be profoundly missed by her family and friends.

Missy was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Church and Margie Church; daughter, Summer Jordan; sister, Cindy Gage; and step-mother, Carolyn Summers.

Funeral services will be held at Heath Funeral Home on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. A public visitation will take place on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Randy West will preside over the ceremony.

Missy Church leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. She will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
