Meedie Diane Phelps

June 5, 1949 — September 28, 2023

Meedie Diane Phelps, 74, of Paragould, passed from this life on Thursday, September 28, 2023. She was born in Paragould on June 5, 1949, to the late Calvin Thomas and Opal "Bernice" Mullins. Diane married the love of her life, Bryan, on a rainy night on February 22, 1975, in a candlelit ceremony at her parents' house. She went to work at Emerson Electric where she remained for over 37 years. Diane liked to shop. She would often make a shopping day with her granddaughter, Natalie, that included Chick-Fil-A, Shadrach's, Home Goods, and Hobby Lobby. She had a green thumb, and it was evident by the beautiful flower gardens she tended that surrounded her house. Diane also loved all things Christmas whether it was Christmas in December or July. Diane and Bryan had four dogs over the years, and Diane loved them deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tonya Marie Phelps; and brother, Jimmy Mullins.

Diane is survived by her husband of 48 years, Bryan Phelps; son, Derek (Bridget) Phelps of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Natalie (Zac) Breckenridge of Jonesboro, Ronnie "Dylan" (Kristen) Crain of Jonesboro, Olivia (Nate) Wogoman of Bono, Joseph Phelps of Pocahontas, and Evelyn Phelps of Pocahontas; great grandchildren, Isabelle Breckenridge and Ryan Crain; brothers, David Mullins of Louisville, Kentucky, and Mark (Stephanie) Mullins of Paragould; and her loving Shih Tzu, Freddy.

A private burial will take place. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Arkansas Children's Hospital.
