Maxine E. Lawson

Maxine E. Lawson, 97, passed away Wednesday at the Green House Cottages of Belle Meade. She is the daughter of the late Clifford and Della Edwards Howard. Maxine was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and was retired from Paragould School District. She was also a member of the Senior B.E.E.'s for 25 years as well as a member of the Red Hat Society. Maxine is also preceded in death by her husband, Dink Lawson; children, Jeanette Ellis and Gary Anderson; brothers, Charley Howard and Glen Howard; and sisters, Thelma Pickney and Barbara Stevens.

Survivors include son, Donald Anderson, of Mountain Home; daughter, Glenda Lawson, of Paragould; grandchildren, James (Becky) Brown, of Paragould, Cindy Humphrey, of Jonesboro, Mike Ellis and Danny Ellis, both of Pocahontas and Neil Anderson; four great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday at Heath Funeral Home from 11:30-12:30 pm. Graveside service will follow beginning at 1:00 pm at Linwood cemetery with Rev. Ron Pickney officiating.
