Mary Ratledge, born on July 1, 1927, peacefully passed away on June 22, 2024, at the age of 96. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Wayne Ratledge, and her cherished daughter, Carolyn Neal. Mary is survived by her son, Jeff Ratledge, and her grandchildren, Deonna Carranza, Crystal Ceo, Jim Neal, Ruth Neal, and Jason Ratledge. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Allison Cole, Anthony Carranza, Keaton Cornett, Dalton Cornett, Gavin Neal, Xander Neal, Ava Neal, Jade Neal, Jack Ceo, Ryan Ceo, Ashlyn Cornett, Kate Cornett, Vivian Neal, Stella Ratledge. Additionally, she was blessed with two great-great-grandchildren, Renlee and Roman.
Mary retired from Montgomery Wards, where she enjoyed a fulfilling career. She later became a top sales performer with Home Interior, where her dedication and talent shone brightly. Mary loved to travel and was an active member of her church, participating in numerous activities and leading Vacation Bible School. She volunteered her time with the Good Samaritan organization, exemplifying her commitment to helping others. She was also a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States.
A devoted woman of the Lord, Mary's faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and inspiring those around her. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Marmaduke First Baptist Church. Viewing for family will begin at 11:30 am. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm, with the service immediately following. Interment will be held at New Liberty Cemetery to conclude the ceremonies, followed by a celebration of life luncheon back at the church.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Jason Ratledge, Jim Neal, Keaton Cornett, Dalton Cornette, Anthony Carranza, Xander Neal, Jack Ceo, Ryan Ceo, and Darrell Johnson.
Ushers will be John Ceo and Zac Cole.
