Mary Alice Jackson

Mary Alice Jackson, 86, of Paragould, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at The Green House Cottages of Belle Meade. She was born in Dixie on December 5, 1937, to the late Emmett Hulen and Tiny Lorene Cobb. Mary graduated from Dixie High School in 1955 and attended business school for two years. She worked as a legal secretary in a law office, and she thoroughly enjoyed her career. In her earlier years, Mary loved riding horses and going on trail rides. She also enjoyed making ceramics and decorating cakes. Mary loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Donna Lorene Cobb and Nancy Masterson; grandchildren, Joseph Chase Jackson and Alex Snyder; and great grandchild, John Thomas Azar.

Mary is survived by her children, Gina Jackson Fain (Charles) of Greenville, Mississippi, Pam Jackson Powers (Chris) of Paragould, Michael David Jackson of Paragould, and Ruel Gregory Jackson of Boston, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Britni Azar (Jeffrey) of Greenville, Kendal Southall (Corey) of Greenville, Mackenzie Powers of Brookland, Jackson Powers (Megan Orr) of Paragould, Jayden Jackson of Searcy, Kayden Jackson of Paragould, Chandler Jackson of Miami, Florida; great grandchildren, Olivia Brooke Azar, Savanna Rose Azar, Lane Southall, and Hayes Southall, all of Greenville; brothers, Hulen Cobb of Paragould and Tony Cobb of Dixie; and sisters, Helen Louise "Lou" Woodhouse of Paragould and Janetta Clark of Paragould.

The family will receive friends Saturday, December 9, 2023, from 1-2 PM at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral will begin at 2 PM with Rev. Jerry Pentecost officiating. Burial will be at Woods Chapel Cemetery.
