Mark Stephen Miller, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and devoted member of the Paragould community, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, at the age of 68.

Born on January 15, 1958, Mark was a proud native of Paragould and a cherished presence in the lives of all who knew him. He graduated from Paragould High School in 1976, where he distinguished himself as an accomplished baseball player and catcher. His love for the game carried him to Arkansas State University, where he played baseball for the Indians while earning his Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

On August 16, 1980, Mark married the love of his life, Melissa Boggs. Together, they built a life marked by love, laughter, faith, family, and deep roots in the community they called home.

Mark dedicated more than 40 years of his professional life to the insurance industry. For 28 of those years, he owned and operated Mark Miller Insurance and Financial Services, where he served clients with integrity, care, and a personal commitment that reflected the way he lived his life. To many, Mark was more than an insurance agent; he was a trusted advisor, a steady hand, and a friend.

His dedication to Paragould extended far beyond his professional work. Mark believed deeply in serving his community and giving back to the place that had shaped him. In recognition of his contributions, he was named Chamber Member of the Year in 2001. He served on numerous boards and organizations, including the Northeast Arkansas Workforce Investment Board, the Paragould Youth Baseball Board, the Paragould Country Club Board, and the Kiwanis Club, where he served as Past President. He also served as Past Chairman of the Paragould Economic Development Corporation, contributing to the growth and future of the community he loved.

Mark enjoyed many passions throughout his life, including quail hunting, golf, and baseball. He was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan, and his love for the game remained a constant thread throughout his life. Whether on a baseball field, in a duck blind, on a golf course, at church, or gathered with family and friends, Mark brought energy, humor, warmth, and a presence that people remembered.

Above all, Mark loved his family. He was a devoted husband to Melissa, a proud father to Matthew and Michael, and a loving grandfather to Cooper, Caroline, and Catelyn. His family was his greatest joy, and the impact he made on their lives will carry forward for generations.

Mark was a faithful member of Harvest Baptist Church, where his regular attendance reflected his commitment to his faith, his family, and his community. His life was one of devotion, to the people he loved, the work he believed in, and the hometown he helped make better.

Mark leaves behind his loving wife, his bride of 45 years, Melissa Miller; sons, Matthew Miller and wife Whitney of Paragould, and Michael Miller and wife Sydney of Cave Springs; grandchildren, Cooper, Caroline, and Catelyn Miller, all of Cave Springs; his mother, Velma Miller; sister, Pam Dickey of Germantown, Tennessee; brothers, Bill Miller and wife Debbie of Paragould, and Tim Miller and wife Bonnie of Eutaw, Alabama; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, William "Gus" Miller, and his brother-in-law, Bob Dickey.

A visitation honoring Mark's life will be held at Harvest Baptist Church on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A memorial service will begin at 3:00 PM, with Dr. Laramie LeQuieu officiating, as family and friends gather to celebrate the life and legacy of a man who touched so many.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Miller, Tim Miller, Greg Brasher, Terry Jetton, Tim Hatley, Bobby Wells, Bruce Hunt, and Members of Mark's Harvest Baptist Sunday School Class.

Mark's life was a testament to faith, family, friendship, and service. He made a lasting difference in his community and in the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. His memory will be treasured always, and his legacy will live on through the family he loved, the friendships he built, and the community he helped strengthen.
