Loretta Mae Newsom

Loretta Mae Newsom, 88, of Paragould, died Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. She was a homemaker and a member of New Life Temple. She was born the daughter of the late Andy and Leola Edgar Schug on March 30, 1921 in Lester, Arkansas. Her husband, Alfred Newsom and brother, Claude Schug also preceded her in death. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws: Rick and Dorothy Newsom of Paragould, Charles and Linda Newsom of Pocahontas; sister: Roberta Cunningham of Pueblo, Colorado; grandchildren: Drake Newsom, Keelen and Krystal Newsom, Monica Newsom , Derek Kildow, Mendi Kildow, Scott Kildow and three great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday night at Heath Funeral Home. Her life will be celebrated at Heath Colonial Chapel, 1:00 PM, Thursday with Reverend Terry Watson and Reverend Jerry Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Finch Cemetery.
