Lloyd Eugene Traxler, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed from this life on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on March 16, 1959, in Tiffin, Ohio, Lloyd lived a life characterized by dedication, passion, and unwavering love for his family.
A proud graduate of Marion Harding High School in Marion, Ohio in 1977, Lloyd embarked on a remarkable career with Emerson Electric, later renamed Nidec, immediately following his graduation. His professional journey led him to Paragould in 1993, where he transferred from the Ohio location as a supervisor in shipping and receiving. Lloyd was a respected leader among his colleagues for many years.
On June 19, 1982, Lloyd married the love of his life, Brenda French. Together, they celebrated over 43 years of devotion and partnership, creating a cherished family that includes their children, Dr. Ste (Alaina) Traxler, Timothy (Amanda) Traxler, and Shannon Traxler, and his beloved grandchildren, Bradly, Samantha, and Christian. Lloyd is also survived by his mother, Opal Traxler, sister, Debra (Ron) Craft, and brother, Chris Traxler, as well as several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Arthur Traxler.
Lloyd had a profound passion for automobiles; he loved working on them, riding in them, and admiring their beauty. His treasured 1978 sonic gold Pontiac Trans Am was a testament to his enthusiasm, and he fondly recalled his past black Trans Am that mirrored the iconic car from *Smokey and the Bandit*. In addition to his love for cars, Lloyd enjoyed fishing and wholeheartedly adored his grandchildren, taking great joy in their lives and accomplishments.
A lifelong fan of the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes, Lloyd spent many joyful afternoons cheering for his teams. His heartfelt commitment to his faith was evident as a loyal member of Reynolds Park Baptist Church, where he dedicated himself to his Lord and Savior, now walking the streets of gold with Jesus.
A memorial service to honor Lloyd's life and legacy will be on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 2 PM at Reynolds Park Baptist Church. A visitation will follow the service until 4 PM. In this time of sorrow, let us also celebrate the extraordinary life he led, filled with love for his family, friends, and beloved traditions. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
