Larry Dee Chipman, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on May 10, 2025, just days shy of his 80th birthday. Born on May 13, 1945, in Fort Madison, Iowa, Larry spent his life dedicated to family, work, and his passions. He resided in Paragould, Arkansas, and was known for his unwavering commitment to those he loved.
Larry enjoyed a successful and fulfilling career as a Plant Manager with Great Dane Trailers. He devoted 30 years of his life to the manufacturing industry. His strong work ethic and leadership skills left a lasting impact on his colleagues and the organization.
Outside of work, Larry was a devoted family man who cherished his time with his wife, Denise Chipman, and their children: Neal, Todd, Trish, and Shannon. He took great pride in being a grandfather to Nicole Arone, Abi Ross, Todd Chipman Jr., Brady Chipman, Zackory Chipman, Kaeleb Chipman, Courtney Chipman, and Briley Chipman, and his 7 great-grandchildren. Larry's love extended beyond his family; he found joy in his loyal companion, a dog named Biscuit, who brought him comfort and companionship.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Leora Chipman, and his brothers, Tom Darley and Dean Chipman.
Larry's passion for life was evident in his hobbies. He loved golfing and spending time in the garden, relishing in the beauty of nature that surrounded him. A strong-minded individual with a big heart, he was known for taking on various do-it-yourself projects, always eager to learn and apply new skills.
A public visitation to honor Larry's life will be held on May 14, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Paragould. Following the visitation, a memorial service will commence at 1:00 PM, providing family, friends, and the community an opportunity to gather in celebration of Larry's life and legacy.
He will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. In the spirit of his love for family and community, Larry's memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones. May he rest in peace.
