Lala Elwanda Melton

Elwanda Melton, 95, passed away on March 10, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Dallas and Ruby Kibler. Elwanda graduated from Riverside High School. She was a member of the B&PW (Business and Professional Women's Club). Elwanda retired from Southwestern Bell with 42 years of perfect attendance. She was a member of Harvest Baptist Church. Elwanda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Melton; daughter, Linda Cabaness; two brothers; and one sister.

Elwanda is survived by her grandchildren, Jaime Cabaness and Cliff Cabaness, both of Barling, Arkansas, and Dara Klienpeter of Grosse Tete, Louisiana; son-in-law, Clifton D. Cabaness of Barling; and nephew, Jimmy Chunn of Paragould.

A private funeral service will be scheduled to honor the life of Elwanda.
