Katie Robertson

February 28, 1944 — September 17, 2024

Katie Sue Robertson, 80, of Paragould, received her angel wings on September 17, 2024. Katie was born on February 28, 1944, in Deering, Missouri, carrying her loving spirit throughout her life until her peaceful passing.

Katie's life was defined by simplicity and hard work. Graduating from high school in Bragg City, Missouri, she embarked on a fulfilling career as a factory worker while dedicating herself to the role of a devoted homemaker. Her days were spent tending to her garden and finding joy in the laughter of children, embodying a nurturing and caring soul that extended beyond her family and into her community.

Known for her feisty and spicy personality, Katie was a beacon of strength and warmth to all who knew her. Her love knew no bounds, exemplified by her remarkable generosity in welcoming all into her home and caring for them selflessly.

One of Katie's greatest joys was sharing her culinary talents with those she held dear. From the comforting aroma of fried potatoes and cornbread to the savory delights of her chicken and dressing, her kitchen was a place of love and culinary magic. Her skills extended to perfectly cooked steaks cooked to perfection in her oven that filled her home with mouth-watering scents, creating cherished memories for her family and friends.

Katie Sue Robertson leaves behind cherished memories and a profound legacy in the hearts of her son, Bill (Renae) Robertson of Paragould; daughter, Diana Dabbs of Paragould; granddaughter, Ashley (Charlie) Stormes of Marmaduke; grandsons, Gerrie and Chad Robertson of Paragould; great grandsons, Kylor Robertson, Bryson Stormes, and Jack Stormes; brother, Robert "Bob" Short; and sister, Linda Nicker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Georgie Short; husband, Gerrie Robertson; and eleven brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 12-1 PM at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral will begin at 1 PM with Denny Stormes officiating. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens Cemetery. May Katie's memory be a blessing and a comfort to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
