Kathy Ann Brumett

Kathy Ann Brumett, a beloved daughter, mother, and grandmother, passed from this life on Sunday, February 18, 2024. Born in Jonesboro on July 28, 1957, Kathy graduated from Jonesboro High School in 1975 and went on to a successful career in the financial industry.

Kathy's passion for life shone brightest when she was surrounded by her family, as her greatest love was her grandchildren. Her days were sprinkled with joy as she spent time working in her yard tending to her beloved flowers and relaxing on the deck by the pool. In moments of leisure, she found solace in working on puzzles, a hobby that brought her peace and contentment.

On August 22, 1998, Kathy found lasting happiness in marriage with her love, Phil, creating a bond cherished by both. Throughout her years, she remained dedicated to her work at Cadence Bank, where she thrived in her role as General Sales Manager, her passion and dedication evident to all who knew her.

Kathy leaves behind her daughter, Stacy (Charles) Slaughter; granddaughter, Mollybeth Drew; grandson, Carson Slaughter; and mother, Barbara Brumley. She was preceded in death by her father, Milton Brumley, and husband, Phil Brumett.

Kathy's life will be celebrated on Friday, February 23, 2024, at 11 AM at Heath Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Brumley officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10-11 AM. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery.

Kathy's spirit will always be remembered, her kindness and love forever imprinted on the hearts of those who knew her. May her memory be a beacon of light and love for all who were touched by her presence.
