Judy Mason

Judy Ann Mason, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025, at the age of 84, along with her husband, Gerald. Born on March 14, 1941, in Mountainburg, Arkansas, Judy dedicated her life to caring for others and bringing joy to those around her.

Judy was a compassionate soul who worked primarily as a laundry attendant in nursing homes, where she found fulfillment in attending to the needs of residents. Known for her thoughtful gestures, she delighted in sneaking Dr. Peppers to the residents, brightening their days and embodying her nurturing spirit.

Her loving heart extended to her family, including her devoted husband of 45 years, Gerald Mason. She is survived by her son, Dale Velmire, daughters, DeAnna (Jeff) Koller and Dina (Perry) Mason; grandchildren, Heidi (Matthew) Rohe, Megan (James) Thompson, Perry "PJ" (Sarah) Mason, Jr., Brandon (Ashley) Mason, Katie (Chris) Leonard, Mandy (Kevin) Lindsey, and David Woody, Garrett Hoyt; and great-grandchildren, Cael, Isla, Inga, and Iris Rohe; Ronan and Declan Thompson; Emily Leonard; Lexi Livingston, Jensen and Blaire Lindsey. She was preceded in death by her parents, Garrett and Evelyn Wright, and five sisters.

Judy enjoyed shopping and had a particular affinity for collecting shoes and purses, a hobby that she lovingly passed down to her daughters. Her strong beliefs and faith in God were a guiding force in her life, reflecting her values of love, kindness, and community.

A memorial service for Judy and Gerald Mason will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 12 pm at Heath Funeral Home. Family, friends, and loved ones are invited to join in celebrating their remarkable lives and the profound impact they made on those around them.

Judy will be missed deeply, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.
