Joseph Howard Boak

Joseph "Joe" Howard Boak, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed from this life on February 5, 2024, at the age of 78. He was born on October 4, 1945, in Lambert, Mississippi, to the late Nathan and Katie Lee Boak.

Joe will be deeply missed by his devoted wife of 59 years, Lois Boak; his loving sons, Larry Joe (Belinda) Boak and Jeremy (Amy) Boak; his cherished grandchildren, Alisha Berry, Nathan Boak, Shayla Boak, and Hailie Boak; his dear brother, Aaron (Peggy) Boak; and his sister, Sandra Collier, as well as many nephews, nieces, friends and extended family. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Nita Payton and Ginger Couey; and son, Ricky Boak.

In his professional life, Joe found great satisfaction working as a Fertilizer Distributor for Farm Service for over 30 years. He dedicated himself to his work, ensuring that farmers in the community had access to the resources they needed to thrive.

Outside of work, Joe had a passion for nature and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He found solace in fishing and hunting, treasuring the moments he spent connecting with the natural world. His skilled hands and keen mind made him a go-to person for his friends and family when it came to fixing things. Joe's yard was always filled with lawnmowers, tillers, tractors, and cars, awaiting his expertise. He was a true Jack of all Trades and took pleasure in helping others.

Joe's life will be celebrated at a future date. Friends and family will come together to honor his memory, share stories, and offer support to one another during this difficult time.

Joe will forever be remembered for his loving nature, his unwavering dedication to his family, and his willingness to lend a helping hand. His legacy will live on through the memories shared by those fortunate enough to have known him. May his soul find eternal peace.
