Listen to Obituary

Joseph "Shane" Cleveland, a beloved son, husband, father, and friend, entered the gates of Heaven on Monday, October 19, 2026, at the age of 53. Born on January 21, 1973, Shane lived a life rich with love, laughter, and dedication to family and community.

Shane graduated from Ridgecrest High School, now known as Paragould High School, in 1991. He married his true love, Shelly Pillow, on September 17, 1993. United in their passions and service, Shane and Shelly became a cherished part of the Central Baptist Church Paragould Campus family, where they actively participated in the Welcome Team and Baptism Team. Their commitment extended beyond the church, as they dedicated eight years to the Arkansas Baptist Association's medical/dental team, traveling statewide to serve those in need.

With over 31 years devoted to GRT Rubber Technologies, Shane's role as a Product Engineer was marked by his expertise and commitment to excellence. Outside of his career, Shane found joy in collecting knives and guns, exploring his creative side with a laser engraver to craft cherished items for his family, and also spent time unwinding by playing an occasional video game.

Shane's warm spirit touched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his devoted wife, Shelly Cleveland; his two sons, Joseph "Tyler" (Lisa) Cleveland of Port Hueneme, California, and Harrison Shane "Harri"Cleveland of Paragould; his cherished granddaughter, Raylynn Cleveland; his loving mother, Linda Cleveland; and five cousins who were more like sisters, Carrie (Dewitt, Jr.) Fortune, Kelly Stewart, Shelly Wilkins, Ashley (Brandon) Mason, and Amber (Adam) Ellis. He also leaves behind his mother-in-law, Carolyn Pillow; brother-in-law, Dewayne (Leah) Pillow; sister-in-law, Kelly (Heath) Brumley; and aunt, Kaye Cooper; as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

Shane was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Lynn Cleveland; grandparents, Estel and Pearley McClain and Charles and Tressie Cleveland; father-in-law, Bill Pillow; sister-in-law, Kimberly Lynn Lyles; uncle and aunt, Haroldean and Evanda Rust; and uncles, Robert Lee "Bobby" Bryson and Grady Cooper.

A celebration of Shane's life will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at Central Baptist Church Paragould Campus. A visitation will commence at 11:00 am, leading into the funeral service at 1:00 pm officiated by Pastor Greg Crabtree. Shane will be laid to rest at New Liberty Cemetery.
