Johnny Ray Bryant

Johnny Ray Bryant, 83, of Paragould, passed away Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Greene Acres Nursing Home. He was born on March 9, 1938 in Light, Arkansas.

Johnny graduated from Harding University in 1960. After graduating, he became a teacher and coach at Ross High School and then Bourbon High School. He also became a church of Christ preacher and spread the gospel on the radio.

Johnny was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Bryant; father, Harvey Bryant; and two brothers, Dwight Bryant and Charles Bryant.

He is survived by his children, Dew Bryant, Tami Bryant, and Jen Lewis; grandchildren, Brittany and Steven Stanfill, Cody Lewis, Cameron and Taylor Simmermon, and Logan and Rae Simmermon; and one great-grandchild, Sammy Sunshine Stanfill.

Visitation will be held Tuesday night from 5 - 7 p.m. at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in the Heath Colonial Chapel.
