John Frederick Miller

John Frederick "Jack" Miller, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on May 17, 1949, in Saint Louis, Missouri, Jack lived a life rich in love, dedication, and heartfelt connections with his family and community. He was a resident of Paragould, Arkansas, where he lived the last 20 years of his life.

Jack was a proud journeyman meat cutter, dedicating 40 years of his career to National Food Stores, which later became Schnucks. His meticulous craft and strong work ethic earned him the respect of colleagues and customers alike. Jack was also a proud Eagle Scout and served honorably in the National Guard for six years, demonstrating his commitment to service and community.

Not only was Jack devoted to his work, but he also cherished his family above all. He is survived by his loving spouse, Kaffie Miller; his daughter, Amy (Tom) Oliver; step-daughter, Wendy (Tommy) McDaniel; and his grandchildren: Gregory Oliver, Alec (Erin) Dacus, Lily McDaniel, Maggie McDaniel, Katy McDaniel, and Julia McDaniel. He took immense pride in his great-grandchildren, Jude Dacus and Eleanor Dacus. John shared a special bond with his siblings, Katherine Warren, Robert Miller, II, and William Miller.

Jack was preceded in death by his father, Robert Miller; mother, Rosemary Miller; brother, Richard Miller; and grandson, Bradley Oliver.

Jack's passions included fishing, woodworking, and traveling-particularly to locations where he could indulge in his favorite pastime of fishing. He found joy in boating and spending time on the water, where he created lasting memories with loved ones. His greatest happiness, however, came from gathering with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose achievements he celebrated with genuine pride.

In these moments of remembrance, we will gather not only to mourn the loss of John Frederick Miller but also to celebrate the life he lived-a life full of love, laughter, and lasting memories. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
