Jewel Marie Gage was born August 13, 1935, to Willard Killian and Tiney Tate in Leachville. She was called home on Friday, May 22, 2020 at Greene Acres Nursing Home in Paragould. Jewel was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church. Jewel married Curtis Gage on February 4, 1952. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She took great care of and doted on her husband Curtis for 63 years, before he passed away in 2015. Jewel loved singing with her husband Curtis and her church family. She also enjoyed going to the Senior B.E.E.S. center and spending time with her friends. One of Jewel’s favorite things was spending time with her grandkids.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Willard Killian and Tiny Tate; husband Curtis Gage; sisters, Bernice Warner, Shirley Boozer and Carolyn Stanley; brothers Larry Killian and Claude Ray Killian; sister-in-law, Lizzie Foster; brothers-in-laws, Everett Gage, Leroy Gage and Jasper Gage; son, Paul Gage; daughter, Linda Connor Gage and granddaughter Kimberly Connor.
Survivors include her sister, Freda McCormick of Kennett, MO; brother, Edward Killian of Paragould; brother-in-law, Otis and Dorothy Gage of Grandby, MO; sister-in-law, Glenda Gage of Pocahontas; daughter-in-law Karen Gage of Huntsville, AL; sons, David Gage of Paragould, Donnie and Laura Gage of Paragould and Jeff and Dena Gage of Paragould; daughter Sherry Clark of Paragould; grandsons Paul Dean Gage of Huntsville, AL, Jeremy Gage of Huntsville, AL, Steven Wayne Conner of Paragould, Matt and Tiffany Gage of Paragould, Donnie Lee and Alicia Gage of Belleville, IL; granddaughter, Lacey Clark of Paragould; grandsons Curtis David Gage of Paragould and Nicholas Gage of Paragould; granddaughters, Krista Gage of Paragould, Erin and Jarred Poe of Dexter, MO; grandson, Joshua Gage of Paragould; granddaughter, Abbie Clark of Paragould; great grandkids, Lexis Connor, Grant Gage, Madison Gage, Braley Clark, Tyler Gage, Darian Gage, Ella Gage, Brinley Hollis, Kiana DeVose, Maverick Poe, Bragen Hollis, Evan Gage, Ariana Wright, Maddox Poe, Aria McGee and Cynthia Gage; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be on Thursday at 1:30 PM at Cardwell Cemetery Cardwell. MO, with Dennis Strope officiating. Pallbearers will be Matt Gage, Rondal Warner, Keith Wigginton, Rick Gage, Gary Prince and J. W. Rawls. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Fairview Baptist Church and members of the Greene County Senior B.E.E.S.
