Jerry Leon Gifford, 68, of Paragould, passed away Sunday in Memphis, Tennessee. He was a current district manager for Dollar General and a retired Walmart district manager, and he was a loyal Mizzou fan. Jerry attended Brown's Chapel Baptist Church and was an Army veteran. He is preceded in death by his father, James Gifford; brother, Joe Gifford; sister in law, Nettie Atchison; and brother in law, Bobby Stott.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Marilene "Katy" Gifford, of the home; daughters, Tammy (Mike) Eanes, of Cape Coral, Florida and Tracy (Shaun) Sandusky, of Paragould; grandchildren, Bailee Ransbottom, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Makayla (Logan) Garner, of Brookland, Tanner Eanes, of Cape Coral, Florida, Conner Sandusky, of Paragould, Jerrod Eanes and Garett Eanes, both of Cape Coral, Florida; and mother, Nola Gifford, of Ava, Missouri.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 10:00 am Wednesday morning at Brown's Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will be Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 pm at Ava Cemetery in Ava, Missouri. Pallbearers are Tanner Eanes, Jerrod Eanes, Garett Eanes, Conner Sandusky, Logan Garner, and Greg Adams.
