It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jerry Lynn Bryant, who departed this life on December 13, 2025, just one day shy of his 70th birthday. Jerry was born on December 14, 1955, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, and lived a life marked by love, work, and unwavering dedication to his family.
Jerry grew up in Fresno, California, where he first met his beloved wife, Elaine, at the tender age of nine. His profound affection and commitment to her were evident even then, as he confidently declared to her that they would one day be married. After graduating from high school, Jerry fulfilled his promise to Elaine, convincing her to return with him to Arkansas, where they would spend the next 51 wonderful years together, nurturing a loving family and creating a welcoming home that embraced all who entered.
Friendly and warm-hearted, Jerry exemplified the spirit of generosity. His Santa Claus-like beard was not merely an appearance but a reflection of his personality-joyful, affectionate, and welcoming. As a dedicated member of the New Antioch Baptist Church in Brookland, he actively participated in the community, nurturing bonds of friendship and faith.
In addition to his familial and community commitments, Jerry had a passion for woodworking, a hobby he pursued with joy in his later years. He cherished the simple pleasures of life, often engaging in what he fondly referred to as "piddlin'"-fixing and enhancing things around the home. His love for motorcycles was evident, as he and Elaine would often ride together, embodying a sense of freedom and adventure.
Jerry was a dedicated worker, whose commitment to his job in the factory industry at Lilly was unwavering. He rarely missed a day of work, illustrating his strong work ethic and dedication to providing for his family.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Luther Bryant; mother, Mary Bryant; brother, Dan Bryant; and granddaughter, Maykayla Brooks.
Jerry leaves behind his loving wife, Elaine Bryant; children Misty, Jacob, Travis, Cierra, and Gabriel Bryant; and cherished grandchildren Forrest Brooks and Ariel Tarvin. His absence will be profoundly felt by all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
A graveside service for Jerry Lynn Bryant will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Bro. Elmer Ash will be officiating. All who knew him are invited to join the family in honoring his remarkable life and legacy.
Jerry's spirit will forever shine brightly in the hearts of his loved ones, and while he may have left this earthly realm, his love and kindness will continue to inspire us all.
