Jennie Christine Stanford

Jennie Christine Stanford, 73, of Paragould, passed from this life on Sunday, June 18, 2023. She was born in Richwood, Tennessee, on February 27, 1950, to the late Lloyd and Sadie Watson. Jennie graduated from Dyersburg High School in Dyersburg, Tennessee. She worked over 20 years at the Paragould Daily Press and retired as an Ad Supervisor. She then became the owner of Wallpaper For Less. Jennie loved flowers, and she was an avid gardener. Her favorite plants were her caladiums. She enjoyed going to the horse races and placing her $2 bets. Jennie was also a faithful viewer of soap operas. Her family knew not to call during General Hospital. While Jennie loved all of these activities, her biggest passion and love was for her grandchildren. She adored her family and loved watching her grandchildren grow up. Jennie was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Sadie Watson; brother, Bill Lucas; and brother-in-law, Ronnie Lambert.

Jennie is survived by her son, Johnny (Nania) Stanford of Paragould; daughter, Sara (Danny) Witcher of Paragould; grandchildren, Allie Witcher, Tanner Duty, Sadie Witcher, and Ellie Grace Stanford; brothers, Larry (Glenda) Watson of Paris, Tennessee, and Danny (Sheila) Watson of Dyersburg; sister, Evelyn Lambert of Philadelphia, Tennessee; and sister-in-law, Frankie Lucas of Hawaii.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 22, 2023, from 12-1 PM at Heath Funeral Home. A memorial service will begin at 1 PM with Rev. Kenny Johnson officiating. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to St.Jude Children's Research Hospital.
