Jeffrey David Logsdon, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and treasured friend, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at the age of 66. Born on January 4, 1960, in Festus, Missouri, he was the cherished son of Marion Logsdon and the late Dave Logsdon.
Jeff graduated from Herculaneum High School in 1978, later earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology. For over 28 years, he devoted his career as an electrician at Nucor-Yamato Steel Company, where he was known for his unwavering work ethic and dedication to his craft. Following his retirement, he extended his passion for learning and teaching by becoming a professor at Black River Technical College.
In addition to his professional achievements, Jeff proudly served in the United States Air Force. He dedicated many years to working on electronic countermeasures for B-52 bombers, a role that showcased his technical skills and commitment to serving his country.
On July 10, 2014, he married the love of his life, Joan Logsdon. Together, they created a home filled with laughter, love, and countless cherished memories. Jeff was a devoted father to his children, Ashley Logsdon (Jay Phillips) of Paragould and Matthew Logsdon of Los Angeles. He was a proud grandfather to Chandler Cole (Dayli Culbreath), Kylar Foster (Abby Davis), Keaton Lyerly, Grace Cole, Jeffrey "J.T." Cole, Lydia Phillips, and Lincoln Phillips. Jeff is also survived by his mother, Marion Logsdon; sister, Denise (Mack) Work; nephews and nieces; dear friend as close as a brother, Curtis Hawkins; and Spencer Green, who was like a son to Jeff. He was preceded in death by his father, John David "Dave" Logsdon; daughter, Kayla McNamara; and sister, Pamela Logsdon.
A member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Paragould, Jeff's faith was an integral part of his life. He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, particularly his joy in hunting, fishing, and boating-activities that complemented his passion for nature and adventure.
A visitation will take place at Heath Funeral Home on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 5-7 PM. A funeral service will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 10 AM, officiated by Pastor Kirk Neugebauer. Following the service, Jeffrey will be laid to rest.
As we gather to honor and celebrate Jeff's remarkable life, we invite all who knew and loved him to join us in remembering a man who touched many lives with his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering spirit. His legacy will live on in the cherished memories of all those who were fortunate to know him.
