With heavy hearts and profound gratitude, we announce the passing of Jason Todd Willard, a devoted husband, father, soldier, and friend, who departed this life on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at the age of 53. Born on September 13, 1972, in Frederick, Maryland, Jason's journey was filled with love, commitment, and a profound sense of duty.

A proud graduate of high school in Maryland, Jason inspired all who knew him when he enlisted in the United States Army on April 16, 1992. Over the course of 20 years, he served his country with honor and distinction, demonstrating the values of courage, integrity, and perseverance. Jason continued to impact lives as a recruiter in Blytheville, where he met his true love, Tammy. Their instant connection blossomed under the stars during a meteor shower on November 17, 2001, leading them to marry on March 13, 2004. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with adventure, joy, and unwavering support for one another.

After leaving the military, Jason earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Health Management. Although he never had the opportunity to put it into practice, Jason was proud of this accomplishment and the dedication he gave to earn it.

Jason was a passionate fan of football, proudly supporting his beloved Washington Commanders. His love for the game was rivaled only by his love of family. His enduring spirit and zest for life were evident in every aspect of who he was.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and remembrance, cherished by his devoted wife, Tammy Willard; his father, Kenneth (Beth) Hendershot; his mother, Michelle Dye; his son, Zachary Skelton; his daughter, Hanah Willard; his step-son, Connor Fetters; his beloved grandson, Dante Fetters; his sister, Amy Hendershot; his brother, Cameron Hendershot; and a lifetime of friends. Jason is preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Hendershot.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Jason's life on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Heath Funeral Home. A memorial service with military honors will begin at 3:00 PM with a visitation following until 4:30 PM. Following his memorial, Jason will be privately interred at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Birdeye, honoring his service and dedication to our nation.

As we gather to honor the remarkable life of Jason Todd Willard, we are reminded of the lasting impact he has had on all our lives. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, a faithful father, a dedicated soldier, and a wonderful friend. May his spirit guide us as we carry forward his legacy of love and service.
