James Robert Wells, 85 of Paragould died Saturday at his residence. Mr. Wells was the retired owner/operator of Wells Trucking and Gravel, a World War II veteran and a member of the Grace United General Baptist Church. James was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene, son, Jackie, granddaughter, Nicole Sapp, parents, John Wesley and Sarah Loretta McClure Wells; brothers, Carl, John and Charles Wells; sisters, Juanita Smith, Alene Wells, Mary Beal and Velma Patterson; 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Tim and Beverly Wells and Robert Wells, both of Paragould; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Harold Sapp, Kaylene and Hugh Williams and Mala and Gary Weaver all of Paragould; brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and June Wells of Leachville, AR; special friend, Eva Whitlow of Paragould. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday at 1:00 P.M. at Heath Colonial Chapel with Rev. Terry Parrish officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Sam Williams, Jason Sapp, Don Williams, Brandon Wells, Chris Williams, Andrew Weaver, Casey Wells and Grant Weaver.
