James Robert "Bob" Slayden

James Robert ”Bob” Slayden, 75, of Paragould, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Bob was born July 26, 1937 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late James Grady and Willie L. Davis Slayden. Bob received his bachelor's degree at Arkansas State University and his master’s degree at Henderson University. He was retired from the the State of Arkansas as a vocational and blind rehabilitator. He was a member of Brown's Chapel Baptist Church. Bob served his country in the Army Reserve for six years. Survivors include his son, Robert James Slayden of Henderson, NV; special friend, Pat Cobb; uncle, Avin Davis of Walcott and several cousins. Friends and family will meet at Mt.
